As the National Champion for 2018, Christchurch City Chorus represented New Zealand at the 2019 Sweet Adelines International competition in New Orleans. They have proudly represented Christchurch and New Zealand on the international stage nine times. The chorus took 7th place in the international competition.
The chorus is dedicated to enriching the lives of members and the community through friendship, education, performance and barbershop musical excellence. We sing four-part harmony a cappella music that is deliberately voiced and arranged to produce a spine-chilling thrill for the singer and listener. We are proud of what we have achieved under the direction of Master Director Virginia Humphrey Taylor!
